Mission 2020

Mission 2020

A more beautiful world is calling but time is running out.

Accelerating breakthrough climate communications for 2018 and 2020.

The historic and legally binding Paris Agreement gave us a roadmap to address climate change by limiting future warming to below 2C while striving for 1.5C. This goal is deemed necessary to avoid incalculable risks to humanity, and it is feasible – but realistically only if we bend the curve of global emissions by 2020 at the latest: our climate turning point.

Mission 2020, Project Everyone and Swarm are bringing together leading climate change campaigners, business innovators, designers, cultural influencers, artists, storytellers, data analysts, hackers and more to rapidly co-create and prototype a new communications approach with potential to engage, unite and mobilise multiple sectors in the climate turning point by 2020.

An approach which connects people and planet: climate and development with wider culture and society. An approach to unite movements and networks, to raise ambition and action across multiple sectors, with potential to mobilise new and unusual partners to show that the shared mission is necessary, desirable, and achievable.

Together, we will use a Swarm to co-create a networked distributed and open campaign approach to secure a climate turning point by 2020.

We are kicking off with a residential campaign accelerator camp on 12-14th July in the UK, before heading to the U.S in August.

We have 5 places still available for experienced, senior, creative practitioners motivated by accelerating climate action. This might include creative technologists, designers, writers, directors, and more.

We are particularly keen to hear from more women participants and of nationalities beyond UK/Europe/US, to bring more global perspectives into the camp.

You may well be living and working in the UK as a freelancer or for an agency, studio or brand.

You will stay in a beautiful country location, we will cover your accommodation and all meals. There will be some entertainment in the evenings and opportunities to connect with nature.

This is a one off, come and play a part in this next critical chapter. More information via FAQ’s here
