We love seeing an idea turn into a venture, and working with innovators across sectors and disciplines to grow these into 21st century organisations. These are new types of ventures – collaborative ventures – developing solutions to gnarly problems with potential to create change, deliver impact and commercial value.

Our approach to venturing makes the most of the diverse skills, resources and experiences in any collaboration. So they add up to more than the sum of their parts. We call this ‘Collaborative Advantage’. We’ve learnt what it takes to go on the journey from start-out to start-up to scale-up. And have developed the tools, resources and funding frameworks that enable collaborative ventures to thrive.

Swarm Ventures hatches, incubates and accelerates collaborative ventures in three main ways:

• Working with organisations with diverse skills and networks to design social innovation investment programmes that bring together participants from across the private, public and third sectors. See Spring with Nike Foundation & DFID

•  Developing our own incubator focused on Wild Health and Education ventures. Launching in Summer 2015
